I have been home for three days now and have recovered from my jet lag just in time for a new week. I bought a scrapbook yesterday and will be using some of my blog entries for it, as well as most of the pictures I have finally posted here on the blog. Check out the links to the right. Your pictures brought back memories of 3 days we spent in Barcelona following a cruise. We enjoyed the time–our first without a tour group. We, too, had some adventures. The language barrier was quite significant when we found out by accident that the signs we had seen all over town saying Huelga General meant a general strike was scheduled for the day we were supposed to leave. There were to be no buses or taxis to the airport! We did manage to bribe one taxi driver to take us within a half mile of the airport. Dragging all our overabundance of luggage that half mile was a valuable lesson in minimalism in packing!
